Time does not register the same when you’re traveling. Some days it seems like we’ve been on the road for years, other times it’s like we are just getting started. This past week in Portugal was totally different from any way we’ve travelled before. Normally we have a hard time slowing down. In Portugal we were the laziest travelers ever! We saw and did a decent amount in Lisbon, but in Porto we pretty much stayed in our neighborhood. We had a great location. I know I sound like a broken record with “great food, friendly people, beautiful architecture” but it’s true! I don’t think I’ll ever stop being impressed with the beauty of these buildings.
We arrived in Santiago de compestela, Spain yesterday and are already in love. It’s so clean! The food! The people! The architecture! Ha! The house we’re staying in is just about a million years old and has lots of charm.
That’s a stone sink under the window and the original “stove” is the little alcove where the mini fridge is.
There’s a huge park just around the corner that we’ve already been to 3 times! It has a great playground, adult fitness equipment and loads of walking trails. Caleb infiltrated a preschool class there today and tried to blend in. They were wearing uniforms so it didn’t really work. It was pretty hilarious.
This swan was there too. Esther has been taking tons of pictures with my phone. If anyone is curious about what the dandelions look like in Spain, I have about 800 pictures I can send. Spoiler alert, they look the same.
And that leads us to today, the best day yet! How many days can I say that in a row? I hope forever! I hope y’all are doing well! Talk soon!
I love the picture of Caleb with the kids. ☺️
Thanks for sharing the journey – we love hearing that each day is better than the day before 🙂
Love you guys!! And one day you may cherish each one of those 800 pictures of dandelions! Ha ha
